Laying the foundation of stone of Arba Resource Center (ARC)

ARC is the name given to all the premises and its development related to training, farm and administrative building of AHTCS. As training is a backbone of the organization, it has long been felt the need of training site for AHTCS. Training centre would be an essentially needed asset for AHTCS to organize various training courses in the future. Moreover, the ARC can be developed as a practical training center and organize the various upgraded livestock related training courses such as JTA in the days to come. On 27th November 20009, Ilomäki Markus, FELM Nepal Regional Development Coordinator, Dr Surendra K. Shrestha, Founder chairperson of AHTCS had jointly laid the foundation of stone for the construction of center. AHTCS has selected a joint-venture of Lohani and Brothers Pvt. Ltd and Surya Construction Co.Pvt. Ltd as a bidder and Udaya Engineering Consultancy Firm, Pokhara as a technical consultant for this construction project. The recent construction is for project A amounted NPR 10,742,107.30, which includes training hall and two storied hostel with the capacity to accommodate 28 persons. The eighty percent of this cost is supported by Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Mission (FELM) and remaining cost is borne by the AHTCS. The area of land is 42.16 ropanies and is situated in Arva-5 of Kaski district, which is 7 km far from the city of Pokhara. The organization has a plan to establish a farm based training center in the area. The area will be designed in the permaculture principles. Lately, the construction of training hall and hostel is under way.
